Volledig Scherm Sluiten

The Museum of Modern Art is being built in the very center of the city and is recognized as an important cultural object of Lithuania. Two volumetric forms intertwine to create a structure that flows between inside and outside. The extraction of the geometric volume at the core of the structure allowed the architects to open-up the entire building, creating floor-to-ceiling glazing that will flood the interior galleries with natural light.

Peikko unit in Lithuania produced a steel structure designed exclusively for the building's shape. Also there were used a lot of different Peikko solutions: DELTABEAM®, KL, JPL and WELDA® Anchor Plates, PSB® Punching Reinforcement, Bolted Column Connections and PETRA® Slab Hangers.
