Construction of a new road interchange on National Road No. 7 in Krzyszkowice supported by Peikko MODIX® connections.

The project involves the construction of a new road interchange on National Road No. 7 in the town of Krzyszkowice. The scope of works includes the expansion of NR7, the construction of engineering structures, and the reconstruction of the necessary technical infrastructure.

The design includes, among other elements, a 43‑metre tunnel and retaining walls with a total length of 411 metres. The vertical reinforcement of both the walls and the tunnel was largely connected using MODIX® coupler bars. Peikko supplied approximately 13,000 MODIX® couplers to be crimped onto the bars.

A key aspect of the project’s execution was the flexibility in work organisation and the rapid availability of components. Peikko provided an on‑site crimping machine, enabling the couplers to be installed directly on the construction site, which allowed the General Contractor to prepare the required elements immediately on site while minimising the number of material transports. The solutions delivered and the technical support provided by Peikko contributed to the smooth and efficient implementation of the project
