The Stage Theater located at Potsdamer Platz, right in the heart of Berlin, stands as one of the most popular attractions in the capital city. Boasting a seating capacity of over 1,800, it proudly holds the distinction of being one of the largest theaters of its kind in Germany.

This esteemed venue hosts a multitude of events, including movie premieres and film festivals, presenting a diverse and captivating cultural program. Among the standout highlights are world-famous musical productions like "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" ("Der Glöckner von Notre Dame"), "Cats," and "Mamma Mia."

Renowned architect Renzo Piano, known for his remarkable designs, lent his expertise to create this architectural marvel. The Stage Theater serves as a splendid showcase for the exceptional BESISTA® tension rod system and compression rods.

At the heart of the theater's captivating architectural design, the BESISTA® tension rod system takes center stage in both the facade and steel construction. The system's hot-dip galvanized tension rods, complete with galvanized rod threads and cover sleeves, provide essential rear tensioning for the impressive 35-meter-high glass facade.

The BESISTA® tension rod systems support all the galleries and the grand staircase, spanning an impressive six levels and leading up to the balconies. These systems are suspended from colossal trussed girders, which are further reinforced by the reliable BESISTA® tension bar systems.
